Supported Independent Living
Belonging Care is pleased to announce that Supported Independent Living (SIL) services have been added to our growing list of services. Participants that have SIL funding in their plan can explore this resource.
SIL supports are offered in a respectful manner in the home of a participant to aid in the development of independent abilities. SIL, like all Belonging Care supports, takes a person-centered approach to arranging support, taking into account a participant's objectives, culture, lifestyle, and circumstances. A place to meet new people, establish meaningful supports, and focus on living your best life yet
This funding may be used for a combination of 1:1, shared, and sporadic (unplanned) supports. Where you live has no bearing on your SIL funding. SIL support is based on your needs, not your housing arrangement, whether you rent privately, live with others, or live in Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA). All decisions are made with the participant in mind, and all services can be tailored to best meet a participant's wants and needs as they evolve, in keeping with the NDIS's spirit of choice and control.
